A Horse named Wallace

So after making level forty last night(YAY!), I made a pit stop down to Elwynn Forest to go and pick up my mount.

Now I do this silly thing where I name all of my mounts even though the game won't let you do it. I feel that we rely on our mounts to much that by calling the mount simply mount or horse cheapens their importance to you.

So now I present to you all... WALLACE!

51 Point Talents...OMG

So WoW Insider pointed out today that WoWhead has posted the talent trees from the Alpha of WotLK. Even though they will be changed and balanced over the next few months I wanted to give a few impressions I have on a few of them.

First off is the rogue 51 point talents, Assassination's looks cool on paper but its too early to tell how it will play out in Northrend. The Combat talent seems really awesome and has a huge anime flare to it, I wonder if it functions like that in PvP as well. The big one though seems to be Sub's Dance of Shadows. This MONSTER of a move allows the rogue to enter stealth automatically four times over a course of nine seconds. That is backstab/ambush over and over. Not to mention the amount of stun lock that comes with that too. This will probably the PVP talent that every rogue will want.

As uber as that is it will probably have the highest cry for nerf across all classes. Everyone will want it nerfed without knowing how it functions but that is simply how the community in WoW functions.

Looks like they are turning Arms Warriors in Herod with their 51 point talent, again another move that will have everyone crying for a nerf simply because the warrior becomes immune to CC for all of four seconds. It also causes them to hit everything around them every second. Pro tip people: You see the big moo cow spinning? RUN AWAY! There no nerf needed.

If there is one class that strikes me as having the most horribly unfair spells it is once again the Warlock. Cripple? Demon form?? Chaos-ignores soak/immunity shields and can not be resisted-bolt?!

I'll be keeping my eyes on these talents over the coming months to see how they are changed and what new and exciting things are awaiting us in the frozen north!

Update: Levels and Money

So I made 26 just a little while ago and I'm sitting on 50 gold across Kaeja and her bank alt. This is good because it puts me well above the amount of gold I need before Tuesday's (supposed) patch which will let level 30 toons learn basic riding. This will definitely help leveling through the 30s which I always felt were the Hell levels of this game(that and the mid-late 40s).
The rogue is starting to come into its own with some of my key moves now available to me. I can easily see why this is such an appealing class to play! Time to keep stabbing things :)

Leveling, quests, and music!

Well it has been two days now so I guess I should give a status report on how Kaeja is doing! I sadly couldn't make my original goal of hitting level 20 yesterday since I came down with a bad case of the dizzy gremlins which made me feel, well less then normal. I am however close to my target goal in gold which is currently sitting at 10 out of the 15 I was hoping to get to by 20. It helps that the economy on this server is just a tad wacky as a fellow Blogger pointed out not to long ago.

I have noticed that many of the quests at least in the human areas have me running all over the place just to continue a quest chain (which is quite annoying). Also the quests seem a little too simple compared to the horde starting areas. I remember reading somewhere that the human areas were made first before any other part of the game so most of the quests are going to feel very basic.

Oh and I just wanted to give a shout out to Elite Dragonkin who have given me an amazing welcome into their guild! I wish all guilds had such nice people in it. I especially wanted to give a shout out to Carabella and Ulfrik for the bags/gear. I shall repay your kindness...somehow :-P

Now to go so far off topic we are teetering on the edge of madness! During my leveling I have been listening to two albums which are very complex musically and set the tone for the game/character very nicely. The albums in question are "Unia" by Sonata Arctica, and "Dark Passion Play" by Nightwish. Both are Progressive/Power Metal but the compositions are very deep and have a lot of meaning behind them. My top picks from both albums would be the tracks "Caleb" on Unia and "The Islander" on DPP. Caleb is an ongoing project for Sonata and some day I may get into it. The Islander is just a beautiful folk sounding song that you can get lost listening to and not care, heck I love it so much I added it to this blog so listen to it dang it!

Well time to get back to leveling. Shouldn't take me long to hit 20 now!

First Post!

Well I guess I should start this thing now or it won't matter later!

I'm a WoW player, been playing WoW now since release of the game and always on the Horde side (I love my moo cow :) ), but up until this point I have never played on the Alliance. This means that I have never seen a good half of the quests in the game nor seen most of the Alliance capitals, well aside from sneaking into Ironforge to kill peoples <_<.
Well I have decided to create an Alliance Rogue named Kaeja on the Drenden server. She is now level 10 and I hope to chronicle her Journey through this new and interesting server!
Well best get back to working on her!
